Description
The Spillmaster Oil & Fuel Spill Kit 120L is a high‑capacity hydrocarbon response kit designed for medium to large spills involving diesel, petrol, lubricants and hydraulic oils. Its hydrophobic absorbents repel water, making it suitable for workshops, warehouses, factories and industrial sites where reliable spill control is essential.
This 120L kit is widely used in plant equipment zones, refuelling areas, machinery bays, transport depots and maintenance facilities where a larger spill kit is required to manage oil and fuel spills safely and efficiently. The wheeled red bin allows rapid deployment across the site.
WHS & EPA Compliance
Hydrophobic pads, socks, pillows and floor sweep provide fast containment and reduced slip hazards while supporting WHS and EPA spill control requirements. Keeping a 120L spill kit on site helps workplaces meet their duty to manage hydrocarbon spill risks in workshops, warehouses and industrial environments.

Emergency Spill Response: The 5 C’s Guide
Workplace Safety Notice: This procedure is tailored specifically for the Spillmaster Oil & Fuel Spill Kit 120L. It may be printed as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or displayed as a laminated placard at the spill kit station.
1. CONTROL the Source & Risk
Open the red weather‑resistant 120L wheeled spill kit bin, retrieve the nitrile gloves (2 pairs included), and ensure responders put them on before approaching the spill. If safe, stop the leak at its origin by closing valves, plugging the breach, or carefully uprighting the container to prevent further release.
2. CONTAIN the Spread
Deploy the required number of polypropylene oil‑only absorbent socks around the spill perimeter to halt hydrocarbon migration. For larger perimeters, deploy the long absorbent sock (75mm × 3m) and link the standard absorbent socks (75mm × 1.2m, up to 3 included) end-to-end to form a continuous, hydrophobic barrier. Prioritise blocking access to stormwater drains, unsealed ground, and open waterways.
3. COMMUNICATE the Hazard
Alert nearby workshop or site staff and restrict access to the spill zone, noting the heightened ignition or fire risk inherent to fuel leaks. For larger volumes or mobile incidents, notify your WHS supervisor or site emergency warden according to workplace procedures. Ensure the spill kit identification sticker on the bin is properly maintained and refer to the included step‑by‑step spill response instructions for rapid on-site reference.
4. CLEAN UP the Liquid
Apply the necessary amount of premium FloorSweep from the 10kg bags (2 included) directly onto the pooled hydrocarbons to rapidly absorb and break down the liquid. For deep pooling or sump leaks, submerge the oil‑only absorbent pillow (45cm × 45cm) into the flow, and use the heavy‑weight oil‑only poly pads (48cm × 43cm, up to 25 included) as required to wipe up surface films. Use the dustpan & brush to cleanly sweep up the saturated FloorSweep. Collect all contaminated materials and place them into the supplied contaminated waste bags (450mm × 720mm, up to 7 included) for safe handling.
5. CHECK & Restock
Inspect the area to ensure no slippery residue, dangerous fuel vapors, or surface sheen remains. Securely seal the contaminated waste bags and dispose of them in accordance with local state environmental regulations. Restore full mobile response readiness by restocking the wheeled bin with a matching Spillmaster Refill Pack.
