Description

The Spillmaster Oil & Fuel Spill Kit 30L is a portable hydrocarbon response kit designed for fast containment of diesel, petrol, lubricants and hydraulic oils. Its hydrophobic absorbents repel water, making it ideal for vehicles, workshops and mobile service units where medium-sized spills must be controlled quickly and safely.

This 30L kit is commonly used in service vehicles, utes, small workshops, machinery areas and refuelling points. It suits maintenance crews, mobile technicians and operators who need a compact but higher‑capacity hydrocarbon spill kit during routine work.

WHS & EPA Compliance

Hydrophobic pads and socks ensure fast containment and reduced slip hazards while supporting WHS and EPA spill control requirements. Keeping a 30L spill kit on board helps workplaces meet their duty to manage hydrocarbon spill risks in vehicles, workshops and equipment zones.

Workplace SOP & 5 C’s Guide

Emergency Spill Response: The 5 C’s Guide

Workplace Safety Notice: This procedure is tailored specifically for the Spillmaster Oil & Fuel Spill Kit 30L. It may be printed as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or displayed as a laminated placard at the spill kit station.

1. CONTROL the Source & Risk
Remove the pair of nitrile gloves from the red weather‑resistant PVC spill kit bag and put them on before approaching the spill. If safe, stop the leak at its origin by closing valves, plugging the breach, or carefully uprighting the container to prevent further release.

2. CONTAIN the Spread
Deploy the polypropylene oil‑only absorbent sock (75mm × 1.2m) around the spill perimeter to prevent oil or fuel migration. Prioritise blocking access to stormwater drains, unsealed ground, and open waterways where hydrocarbons can rapidly spread.

3. COMMUNICATE the Hazard
Alert nearby workshop or site staff and restrict access to the spill zone, taking note of the heightened ignition or fire risk inherent to fuel spills. For larger volumes or high-risk incidents, notify your WHS supervisor or site emergency warden according to workplace procedures. Ensure the spill kit identification sticker is cleanly displayed and refer to the included step‑by‑step spill response instructions for rapid on-site reference.

4. CLEAN UP the Liquid
Deploy the required number of heavy‑weight oil‑only poly pads (48cm × 43cm, up to 20 included) directly onto the pooled oil or fuel. These specialized hydrophobic pads will selectively absorb hydrocarbons while completely repelling any water or moisture present. Wipe down surfaces to clean up any remaining oily film. Collect all saturated absorbents and place them into the supplied contaminated waste bags (450mm × 720mm, up to 3 included) for safe handling.

5. CHECK & Restock
Inspect the area to ensure no slippery residue, dangerous fuel vapors, or surface sheen remains. Securely seal the contaminated waste bags and dispose of them in accordance with local state environmental regulations. Restore full response readiness by restocking the kit with a matching Spillmaster Refill Pack.
