Oil & Fuel Spill Kit 120L
$229.00 +GST
High-capacity hydrocarbon spill response for industrial sites, workshops, and transport depots.
The Spillmaster 120L Oil & Fuel Spill Kit provides rapid containment for medium-to-large spills of diesel, petrol, lubricants, and hydraulic oil. Supplied in a mobile wheelie bin with hydrophobic absorbents, it repels water so full absorption capacity is used exclusively on hydrocarbons.
-
120L Absorption Capacity: Sized for substantial fuel transfer leaks, tank overfills, and major machinery line ruptures.
-
Water-Repellent Absorbents: Selective hydrophobic pads, socks, and pillows absorb oil-based fluids while repelling water.
-
Mobile & Rapid Deploy: Housed in an easily recognizable, heavy-duty wheelie bin for quick transport directly to the spill site.
-
WHS & EPA Compliant: Meets Australian environmental duty-of-care requirements to keep your facility fully audit-ready.

WHS & EPA Compliance
- Selective Absorbency: Hydrophobic technology ensures pads, socks, pillows, and FloorSweep only absorb hydrocarbons (oil/fuel), leaving standing water behind to maximize absorption capacity.
- Standards Compliant: Meets AS1940:2017 requirements for the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids.
- Duty of Care: Helps site supervisors, transport managers, and safety officers satisfy site WHS/EPA requirements and reduce slip hazards.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a 120L Oil & Fuel kit repel water?
Because hydrocarbons often spill outdoors, in washdown bays, or on wet hardstands, hydrophobic absorbents are engineered to repel water and only absorb fuel, oil, and lubricants. This prevents absorbents from wasting capacity on rain or surface puddles.
Where is a 120L Wheeled Spill Kit best deployed?
Its mobile 2-wheel bin design allows rapid wheeling across larger facilities such as transport depots, high-traffic machinery bays, fuel transfer yards, and industrial manufacturing sites where high-capacity containment is needed fast.
Is this 120L kit AS1940 compliant?
Yes. It satisfies the spill response standards set out in AS1940:2017 and supports workplace WHS and EPA duty-of-care requirements for medium-to-large hydrocarbon spill management.

Emergency Spill Response: The 5 C’s Guide
Workplace Safety Notice: This procedure is tailored specifically for the Spillmaster Oil & Fuel Spill Kit 120L. It may be printed as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or displayed as a laminated placard at the spill kit station.
1. CONTROL the Source & Risk
Open the red weather‑resistant 120L wheeled spill kit bin, retrieve the nitrile gloves (2 pairs included), and ensure responders put them on before approaching the spill. If safe, stop the leak at its origin by closing valves, plugging the breach, or carefully uprighting the container to prevent further release.
2. CONTAIN the Spread
Deploy the required number of polypropylene oil‑only absorbent socks around the spill perimeter to halt hydrocarbon migration. For larger perimeters, deploy the long absorbent sock (75mm × 3m) and link the standard absorbent socks (75mm × 1.2m, up to 3 included) end-to-end to form a continuous, hydrophobic barrier. Prioritise blocking access to stormwater drains, unsealed ground, and open waterways.
3. COMMUNICATE the Hazard
Alert nearby workshop or site staff and restrict access to the spill zone, noting the heightened ignition or fire risk inherent to fuel leaks. For larger volumes or mobile incidents, notify your WHS supervisor or site emergency warden according to workplace procedures. Ensure the spill kit identification sticker on the bin is properly maintained and refer to the included step‑by‑step spill response instructions for rapid on-site reference.
4. CLEAN UP the Liquid
Apply the necessary amount of premium FloorSweep from the 10kg bags (2 included) directly onto the pooled hydrocarbons to rapidly absorb and break down the liquid. For deep pooling or sump leaks, submerge the oil‑only absorbent pillow (45cm × 45cm) into the flow, and use the heavy‑weight oil‑only poly pads (48cm × 43cm, up to 25 included) as required to wipe up surface films. Use the dustpan & brush to cleanly sweep up the saturated FloorSweep. Collect all contaminated materials and place them into the supplied contaminated waste bags (450mm × 720mm, up to 7 included) for safe handling.
5. CHECK & Restock
Inspect the area to ensure no slippery residue, dangerous fuel vapors, or surface sheen remains. Securely seal the contaminated waste bags and dispose of them in accordance with local state environmental regulations. Restore full mobile response readiness by restocking the wheeled bin with a matching Spillmaster Refill Pack.
